Tank is almost ready for his forever home!
Tank (pictured left) is a two year old male Norwegian Elkhound mix who is neutered and has had all of his vet work.
Tank was born with hip dysplasia and although he had a wonderful loving home, they could not afford his surgeries and had to
return him once he was diagnosed at one year old.
Through the generosity of KCHF donors and our Vet Dr. Diane Fedrow----TANK HAS NOW HAD HIS FIRST HIP SURGERY, IS DOING
GREAT, AND WILL HAVE HIS SECOND IN EARLY MARCH. He will then need a gentle 6 weeks recovery from that surgery and will
continue to recover in his loving foster home where he is getting 24 hour care and rehab and is being the best patient ever.
Tank is house trained, loves to play and run (after recovery) and is a loving, happy and friendly dog. He gets along with most
dogs but not all so that would need to be a consideration. He loves all people. We expect a full recovery once all surgery is
Tank can be seen at his foster home by calling 815-932-0182 or you can call the Shelter at 815-933-5999 and talk to Laura.
